about

At the end I again use Ranga's piece with the two speakers, one of whom keeps talking slower. It's an elegant item that takes any (n) number, all fitting in khanda (five):

Speaker 1: n
Speaker 2: n
Speaker 1:n
2: nn
1: n
2: nnnn

There are 10 n, so it amounts to khanda or 5.

N in this piece is 4 (expressed here as ta din - ta), and the tala is khanda eka, slow five. Each beat subdivides into 8: 8 x 5 beats = 40.

1: ta din - ta
2: ta din - ta
1: ta din - ta
2: ta - din - - - ta -
1: ta din - ta
2: ta - - - din - - - - - - - ta - - -
