This is the light classical section of a concert by Siddeswari Devi, the great Banarsi thumri singer, for the King of Nepal. Both the tabla and sarangi are simpatico to this style, which has some similarities to American blues.

The section follows slow and rapid khyals in rag Jog. Sponsored by Banaras Hindu University, the evening concluded with Lal Mani Misra, vichitra vina, and Kishn Maharaj, tabla, rag Darbari.
